School Background / History

Heritage Christian School is a nondenominational, board-run academic institution established to educate and train students based upon the inerrant Word of God as set forth in the Holy Scriptures.

Our Christ-centered curriculum acknowledges Jesus Christ as the source of all knowledge and truth.  Therefore, we endeavor to relate every area of study to the truth and principles contained in the Bible.

We believe that God has given to parents the scriptural imperatives of Deuteronomy 6:5-7 and Proverbs 22:6 to train their children in Godly ways and Biblical principles.  As such, the school is an extension of the Christian home and not a replacement for it.  The home and school should mutually seek to edify each other and work in harmony to assist in every phase of development of the student.

As a nondenominational institution, no specific Christian church doctrine or practice will be taught, encouraged, or discouraged by Heritage Christian School personnel, volunteer workers, chapel presenters, or students while in the school setting or in any other school administered program or activity.  It is believed that individual church doctrines and practices should remain a function of the church.

Basic Christian Biblical doctrine will be taught as set forth in the Heritage Christian School Statement of Faith.

As a board-run institution, all school policies, procedures, and decisions are a direct function of the Board of Directors.
